Chairman – Alysoun Wilson
Alysoun took up the Chairman role in 2018, after serving as Vice Chairman for many years. Alysoun also looks after ticket sales for the band. During rehearsals she can be found in the Tenor Sax section
Secretary – Rosie Ellison
Rosie joined the committee in 2018, taking up the post of secretary. During rehearsals Rosie can be found playing the alto clarinet.
Treasurer – Jackie Newsome
Jackie has served as ECB treasurer for a number of years. During rehearsals she can be found with Alysoun in the Tenor Sax section.
Librarian – Mike Knox
Mike joined the band in the autumn of 1990, shortly after leaving school. In addition to heading the trombone section he is also the band’s librarian. Mike currently lives & works in Edinburgh.
Membership Secretary – Fiona Anderson
Fiona took up the role of Membership Secretary for the Band in 2018 which sees her welcoming new members and ensuring the band members are up to date with band information. During rehearsals she can be found in the Flute section.
Alison Kearns – Social Secretary
Alison has been arranging social events for the ECB for several years now. During rehearsals she can be found in the clarinet section.
Emma McDowell – Making Music Representative
Emma is responsible for acting as the main point of contact and keeping the membership up to date for Making Music, a charity that provides advice, support and resources for music groups across the UK. During rehearsals, Emma can be found playing the bass clarinet!
Vicki Fraser – Digital/IT
Vicki joined the band in 2017 after an extended break from playing clarinet and joined the committee a few months later to work on website development. During rehearsals, Vicki can be found in the clarinet section!
Holly Black – Marketing, Social Media
Holly joined the committee in 2018, working on marketing and comms through our Adopt a Composer experience. Now she looks after our marketing and social media. During rehearsals you’ll find Holly in the clarinet section!
Petra Klawitter – Blogs & Marketing
Petra joined the committee in 2018, working on marketing and comms through our Adopt a Composer experience. Now she looks after the design side of marketing, producing everything from tickets to posters. During rehearsals you’ll find Petra in the clarinet section!
Cathy Upton – Committee member
Cathy joined the committee in 2019. During rehearsals you’ll find Petra in the clarinet section!
